About Phasorium

What Phasorium is, who makes it, and how to report a wrong number or a page that is hard to follow.

Phasorium is a free library of 121 lessons in signal processing, from what a signal is to radar. Each lesson opens on an instrument: a picture you can operate, computed live in your browser. The maths, a worked example, where the idea is used and a reference card follow it.

How the numbers are checked

The code behind the instruments is tested against reference values computed with NumPy and SciPy, the libraries most engineers use. The maths in each lesson is checked before the lesson is published.

Who makes it

Phasorium is made by Anas Talib.

Why it exists

Signal processing is usually taught equations first, and the picture comes later, if at all. Here the picture comes first: you change a setting, watch what happens, then read why. Every lesson is free to read, with no account.

Report a mistake

If a number looks wrong or a page is hard to follow, write to talib_anas@hotmail.com. Name the lesson and, if you can, include the instrument's link: its Share button copies an address that holds its exact settings.

Using the lessons

Link to any lesson freely; quote with credit; email for anything else, at talib_anas@hotmail.com. The terms of use say more.
